Well, I've chosen the last pair of photos (letter C).
1. We can see how in the first picture women are using unfairly because they have not space to work. In fact, they have to work all the days of the week to earn a minuscule wage. Also, they have not any benefits because they made the clothes and these are sent to another country to be sold and while they are working they have to take care of their children because they can't go to a school or have a person who take care of them. It's awful that girls with only seven years old have to work in this bad conditions! Like they have to work in this way, they have not any type of education and they can't find any type of paying job so men with a similar job are earning more wages than women. It's unfair.
2. On the other hand, the second picture is better due to the woman that appears in it is learning a job that is going to help her in a future because she will can find a paying job. Also, the conditions are better in this photo because she has a table, a chair and so much space to work and to live. In addition, she has machines that help her working. She can be calm all time because now she has benefits such as their children can go to school while her mother is raising food or money to survive.
It's perfect that in some places gender inequality can improve and change.
In the first picture, we can see that the gilr is helping her mother (who is doing the food that they're going to eat for lunch). This girl should be in school learning maths or another thing, but she can't do it because her mother need her. The most of girls who live in undevelop countries, have to help their mothers with the domestic things daily. This is very unfair because when these girls being older, they could be illiterates (people who don't know to write or read), and it's unfair because all people must know to write and read perfectly! And to write and read are essentials to can have a decent life.
Although, some countries receive helps from ONG's like Unicef. And this allow to girls (and boys) to learn to write and read. I'm agree with the organisations that help poor people and if I could help of any way, I would do it, because it's unfair that some people can't learn essential things like these. But in class that provide ONG's there about 40 children in every class. However, it's something, it's better than anything! Ending, all of us have to contribute for a better world!
In the first photo, we see a pair of women working in the countryside. I think they are in harsh-working conditions, and the most terrible thing that we see is that, although they work out, they do the housework, they take care of children, etc. they don't have ANY rights, and they don't own any lands.
In the second picture, we watch how UNICEF has given money (a loan, maybe) to encourage women to start their own bussiness. In my opinion, this is a great help, and overall, I think that his shows us that ONGs are working hard to reach the equality betweet both sexes. We should support this organisations, because their mission in undeveloped countries is very important.
Very good all comments. But Rafa, in the second picture of the pair B it is possible that Unicef had given some money to the women. But the most important is that Unicef is helping to the women to be organised in associations and to be aware, to feel that they can achieve rights and better work conditions.
Hello! I've chosen the pictures B. In the first photo we can see two women working in the countryside, crushing something (doesn't look good in the photo). In my opinion the womans haven't got a good conditions to work. Unfortunately, a lot of womens must to work in the countryside, in the house with the childrens or cleaning. Fortunately, this has been changing over time...
In the second picture, we can see some people from UNICEF who are helping a women, I suppose that she want ask for food, clothes... I think that this ONGs is a very important for the world because this organisation want the equality for all, women and man.
-In the first photo we can see lots of women working in bad conditions. They are sitting on the floor meanwhile they are making scarves and shawls that after will be sent to Belgium. They work in bad conditions too because the place where they are is too small and dirty. They have to keep their children with them at work instead of going to school. They also earn a very little wage (2$) These work conditions are very usual in poor countries.
In the second photo there is a woman working in different conditions. She works in a bigger place which is cleaner and as you can see she is learning to use a sewing machine. It's also a good situation for her because she doesn't have to take care of their children because they are at school. In my opinion these are the work conditions that a person must have. Thanks to NGOs things are changing a lot.
Hello class! I have chosen the pair of photos in B. 1-. Well, in the first photo we can see two women that they are preparing food in bad conditions, because they are preparing food manually without any electrical element so they are in developing country. In this condition the women do everything about the housework, agriculture and take care of their children. So there is a big difference between developed country and developing country. 2-. In the second photo we can see some women in a meet of the UNICEF. I think that this organization help to women that work in bad condition and try to improve the women life in a developing country.
Hello class! Well, I have chosen the pictures in A, like Javi!
First, we can see in the first photo that a girl is helping to her mother to make the food with a SAD face, this is due because she thinks that should be in the school with her friend or friends, studying maths or another subject, but she can't do it because her mother need her in some cases, for example in do the washing-up or help her family too. This is a very serious problem, because in the undeveloped countries have little or no resources to survive on an economy so low and we don’t give much importance to that... I’m adding a little information but I think that Javi told us all about this photo. In my opinion, this must not be like that, because we all have the same rights to the education, about all.
In the second photo, we can see that there are a lot of children in an only class with poor school materials. Also, there is a teacher, which is helping to a boy in do the homework. Well, although many countries receive helps from ONG's like Unicef (like Javi has said), is not enough, because All of us can help much more than we do and everybody would have a just society where to live with a just education, especially, but it is not like that. The people do not think about the poor countries (in almost the whole AFRICA) and it should not be like that. That´s my short opinion.
Hello! I have chosen picture A because was the pair of picture that I worked in class and in my opinion, it has a lot of things more to comment:
In the first photo there are two girls, one of them is a woman and the other one is a young girl. We can see that they are living in bad conditions and we can see it in their faces, they are very sad and their clothes aren't the best. I think that due to the bad conditions that we can see in the photo, they are poor. The girl probably should go to school, but she is helping her mum to do the meal. I think that in poor countries and in undeveloped countries (probably it's the same) the mothers teach to their daughters what they have learnt, in this case: to rest at home doing the work of the house.
In the second one we can see a normal class in an undeveloped country, because there are a lot of children in only one class. But i think that not all is bad in this photo, because, for example, we can see that the teacher is a woman and is very extrange to see a woman working in this type of work ( I reffer outside the house). Also, we can see that there are girls in the class too, not only boys, so, in my opinion, this country is developing and probably in the future it probably will be an equal country, although it's very difficult.
Hi, class! I have chosen the last pair of photos, because I think it represents different work conditions in different zones.
- In the first one, we can see how a lot of women with her child are working in horrible conditions, with a few materials and in a very reduced space. they are sitting on the floor amd, probably, they have to work ervery day a lot of hours so they can obtain money or food, but in minuscle quantities. But the worst is that, probably, when the mothers carry their daughter to work s because they have to learnt this job and, in a very near future (when they have seven or eight years), they will work there.
- In the second photo, we see a woman making clothes with a machine. It show us that woman has good work conditions: she has space to work, good materials, she is sitting on a chair with a desk with her,...
In the first photo, I can see how a woman and her daughter are cooking for their family. In my opinion the girl has to be in school instead of cooking because she also has to go to school to learn maths or geography, for example. In this photo, gender inequality is present because the girl isn´t at school
In the second photo, is just the opposite. We can see lot of boys in the school and a woman is teaching them something. From my point of view, in this class, girls also have to be here because they also need to learn things, not only boys have to learn. But another thing is that the teacher is a woman and it is gender equality, so this photo has a positive part
In the first photo we can see a pair of women working in the countryside, in harsh-working conditions. The terrible thing is that, although they work out, they do the housework and they can't take any decisions without the permision of a men, they don't have any rights.
In the second photo we can see how UNICEF is giving money to encourage women to start their own bussiness, helping them to have more dependence for the men. Thanks to ONG's such as UNICEF many women start their own bussineess and take their own decisions, so, they are doing a great job.
