Holidays and free time

Hello my name is Martin as you know and I'm going to talk about holidays and free time and I'm going to talk about things to do in your free time in this city and things to do if you aren't from here and you are going to visit Montoro.

In Montoro you can think that is a bit bored because it have not the entertaiment that have others cities but there are very much activities to do here.

-For example if you are going to visit Montoro in holidays you can go to the Montoro's hotel.

Here you can see almost all the city, you can have a good time in the swimming pool, you can have a coffee in the restaurant inside here and you can simplify relax in your bedroom.

But if you will do other things like visit monuments or something else you can go to the old part of Montoro for see the diferents monuments of the city. Or if you like the forest and the countryside you can go to the mountain that there are next to Cardeña and you can see very much espices.

And finally I have to speak about the holly-week in Montoro that there is very famous and very much people choose this city for there holidays but in my opinion there isn't the best think to see in Montoro

Finally we are going to see a little Documental of Montoro (Spanish).

FREE TIME AND HOLIDAYS

FREE TIME :  it is the time available for hobbies and other activities that you enjoy. Or  the time that is free from duties or responsibilities.
 

 

All the people  have their favourite things to do in her free time . For example , some poeple prefer to do activities outside , do exercise, play football, run,walk... or inside : draw, listen music, cook, read...

But nowadays the people usually prefer stay at home with their mobile phone and the social networks, such as facebook, whatsapp, etc.

HOLIDAYS

 People think holidays is the time where they go out for have a good time.
 Normally the people go out to another  country or another city for visit monument or for go to the beach.
I love going to the beach in holidays , and I go to Málaga or Cádiz. But this year I am going to stay in Montoro , with my friends and I'm going to go to the swimming pool.
In this years it's difficult to travel because the crisis is something that affect everyone in this aspect.

GLOBALIZATION

What is Globalization?

Globalization is a historical process of global integration in the political, economic, social, cultural and technological fields , which has turned the world into an increasingly interconnected place.

 

Advantages and disadvantages of globalization. 

 

Advantages

Between the advantages of globalization we can mention:

-The movement of goods and imported products.

-It is contributing to lower inflation. (Disminución de inflación)

-Increased foreign investment, involves power in the area of international trade, and fosters better relations with other countries and enriching cultural exchange processes.

  -Technological development.

 

Desadvantages

The fact that the wealth is concentrated in the most developed countries and only 25% of international investments going to developing nations, which affects an increasing number of people living in extreme poverty.

 

With the excessive consumption of energy resources become more substances that emit pollutants, so there is more global warming and climate change occurs and increased the use of natural resources to satisfy consumer demand.

The end of globalization is the economic benefit regardless of environmental conservation.

From my point of view, the economic benefits are very important but the enviromental conservation is very important too.

ENVIROMENTAL ISSUES

Environmental issues are defined as problems with the planet's systems (air, water, soil, etc.) that have developed as a result of human interference or mistreatment of the planet.
There are many types of things that people do and it is very bad for The Earth.
Some of them are:

• Global warming
• Deforestation
• Air and water pollution
• Overpopulation
• Soil erosion
• Other climate change issues
• Destruction of biodiversity
• Littering
• Destruction of natural habitats
• Destruction of natural resources
• Attack of marine life
• Oil spills
• Nuclear issues

Now we are going to explain some of them that I think that are the most important.

After explain some problems we are going to see a video, I know that the people of the class know it because Juana in Biology show it but I want that all the class can see it.

Manipulation through advertising!

With the number of people receiving advertising messages daily, advertisers should send positive messages, 'good', ethical. But is that really what we receive from advertisers through their messages?

 Today, advertising is an element found almost everywhere.

Advertising agencies have taken advantage of the various existing means for circulating ads that invite us to consume a lot of products.

Throughout the years, the strategic use of language in advertising has transformed (reduced) the human being from an individual into an object of consumption. This use has allowed the performance of two opposing tasks: that of convincing people that they are being ‘promoted’ to levels of freedom and happiness, while being subjected to a dominion.

This is not the hamburger we saw in the ad, but we have been manipulated by an image, so we went to buy it, and when we've already bought and consumed, we see how it really is.

We are in the era of consumption so we buy products for a huge amount of need, which have mostly been created by advertising itself. It never stop going on sale new products, although many times they are useless. This is where another problem appears from the ethical point of view. The industry deceives us to sell their products.

They use some methods to manipulate us such as:

1. Create problems, then offer solutions.

2. Degradation Strategy.

3. Keep the public in ignorance and idiocy.

4. They insert messages, songs, in your head without being conscious.

And, as you know, there are a lot of brands trying to manipulate people to sell their products.

And now, a question:

What is a Social Network Site?

Social network is a global revolution, enabling around a billion people worldwide to stay in touch with their friends, share experiences and photographs and exchange personal content. In many ways it has replaced the telephone and email. For many users, it has become a way of life. Various social networking sites are also valuable tools used by many companies and individuals to extend their contacts and deliver marketing messages.The nature of social networking – having such a massive base of users who are unknown to you – means that using it carries a degree of risk including becoming a target for cyber-criminals. 

What are the dangers of the Social Networks Site?

 

There are a lot of dangers, but basically are:

 

-Disclosure of private information by either yourself or friends/contacts.

 

-Bullying.

 

-Cyber-stalking.

-Access to age-inappropriate content.

-Online grooming and child abuse.

-Encountering comments that are violent, sexual, extremist or racist in nature, or offensive activities and hateful attitudes.

-People trying to persuade or harrass you into changing your basic beliefs or ideologies, or adopt an extremist stance.

-Prosecution or recrimination from posting offensive or inappropriate comments. 

-Phishing emails allegedly from social networking sites, but actually encouraging you to visit fraudulent or inappropriate websites.

-Friends’, other people’s and companies' posts encouraging you to link to fraudulent or inappropriate websites.

-People hacking into or hijacking your account or page.

-Viruses or spyware contained within message attachments or photographs.
